Raw card Round II More Baseball, some football and non-sports 1950-57
Many of you might have seen a post I had a couple of weeks ago that featured a number of raw baseball cards from 1951-1959. I was selling these cards for a gentleman in the town I live in. They were cards from his own boyhood collection.
Items were evidently priced right, sales were brisk and I sold everything he had in basically a weeks time. Or so I thought…. When I got him a check for everything that was sold, he told me that he had a bunch of football cards too, as well as some baseball duplicates and some other odds and ends. He dropped them off to me a day later. So, here we go with round 2. Again most of the cards are nice collectible shape for raw card set builders, not a lot of items that I would consider “grade worthy” or I would be doing it for him. I will be listing the cards again as before trying to break out the cards into better players, nicer commons, average commons and then the rougher piles. Some cards have writing on the back, some will be creased, some are in fairly nice shape, some aren’t. As before I will do my best to describe them as best as I can, but I am human, so I may miss something from time to time. As with the first batch, these are going to be priced to move. I can hold items for you if you want to wait to see what else is coming up in a “next wave” as there is too much for me to post all at once. I am going to start with some Non-Sports stuff and some exhibit cards. I really want to try and sell these first before starting into the football and baseball cards. I will accept payment by paypal gift, or postal money order (for smaller purchases cash is fine too) Add $7 for shipping to your total order for priority mail with signature confirmation. I can also ship smaller lots of just a few cards in a bubble mailer for $3 if you choose to do so that way. As before if you spend more than $100 shipping is on me. I will be listing the same post on the PSA and Net 54 message boards just as last time. I may get offers from each place. I will fill offers/orders based on first come first serve basis, but only once the items are on the message board for sale. I had too many offers in front of the listings last time and it was simply too much to keep track of. So please just bookmark this post if you are interested and check back often. You may also email me at sjohnson22@neb.rr.com instead of replying via a PM on the message boards ( I actually prefer this method) Hope that lays out all of the so called “ground rules” Now on to the first batch of stuff for sale. |

Thanks again for all of your purchases thus far.
A reminder - If you don't see a price listed for the card or the number is not in the listing, the card has been sold! ****** I have lowered pricing on everything that was posted prior to today ****** I have had two offers to clean up all remaining football, but no firm answer, so if someone makes a "reasonable" offer for all remaining football cards ( I have it already discounted if you take everything left in a particular year or set) I will likely take it Thanks for your patience as I was out all day yesterday with work and got home about 2 am. I will be listing 1955 Bowman and 1955 Topps Baseball today. I cannot provide lists ahead of time as simply too many cards and too many people interested. This will be the last of what I am offering. If you are not interested in either of those sets of cards or are to the point where you are ready to pay for what I am holding for you, we need to get that ball rolling as well as I have a LOT of piles I am holding for various folks, and would like to get these in the mail to you sooner than later. Please send me an email at sjohnson22@neb.rr.com - for payment details as well as let me know your address to send cards to Be on the lookout later today for some great 55's...There are a LOT of cards from these two sets. Dave |
Thanks for all of the offers this morning, with purchases from last night and early today, everything I have listed to this point has been spoken for and sold.
As I mentioned earlier, I will be posting the last batch of cards, 1955 Topps and 1955 Bowmans later today. Just "eye-balling" it I would say about 200 cards or so from each year. Keep hitting that refresh button, will try to let you all know about when I am going to post them. Dave |
And last but not least.......
Here it is…the Grande Finale of this listing of cards for Bruce Part II
As always first come first serve. 1955 Topps - awaiting final word - have a party interested in purchasing all of them - thank you to all of those waiting to know for sure! Even a bit nicer than the 55 Bowmans – These in general have strong corners – I think a lot of these are Ex- Exmt at worst. I like to save the best for last in my opinion. Better Players #5 James Gilliam Pencil X and H on back - $5 #25 Johnny Podres sharp but centered to the bottom - $4 #120 Ted Kluszewski- more VG – Ex card - $8 #120 Ted Kluszewski a little better - $12 #120 Ted Kluszewski- 2 more both really solid - $17 #100 Monte Irvin – rougher borders - $6 #100 Monte Irvin – A little nicer - $8 #152 Harry Agganis – Nice - $15 #152 – Harry Agganis – even a bit better - $20 http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...tars1front.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...stars1back.jpg Nicer Commons – a few a little O/C overall really nice corners nice cards - $3 each 3 – 7 – 10 – 10 – 11 – 11 – 11 – 12 – 19 – 19 – 23 – 26 – 27 – 29 – 32 – 33 – 37 – 40 – 43 – 43 – 44 – 49 – 49 – 54 54 – 55 – 56 – 57 – 58 – 59 – 59 – 59 – 59 – 59 – 60 – 62 – 63 – 64 – 66 – 66 – 66 – 67 – 68 – 68 – 70 – 70 – 76 – 76 – 77 – 78 – 78 – 81 – 81 – 82 – 82 – 83 – 86 – 91 – 91 – 93 – 93 – 93 – 93 – 93 – 93 – 93 – 94 – 85 – 96 – 97 – 97 – 97 – 98 – 101 – 101 – 104 – 106 – 106 – 108 – 109 – 110 – 110 – 110 – 112 – 112 – 112 – 113 – 113 – 113 – 113 – 113 – 113 – 114 – 114 – 114 – 114 – 114 – 114 – 116 – 116 – 116 – 116 – 117 – 117 – 118 – 118 – 118 – 118 – 119 – 119 – 119 – 119 – 119 – 119 – 121 – 122 – 126 – 126- 126 – 126 – 126 – 126 – 126 – 127 – 127 – 128 – 128 – 128 – 128 – 129 – 129 – 130 – 130 – 130 – 130 – 131 – 131 – 133 – 134 – 135 – 135 – 135 – 135 – 135 – 135 – 135 – 136 – 138 – 140 – 140 – 142 – 142 – 142 – 143 – 143 – 143 – 143 – 144 – 145 – 145 – 148 – 148 – 148 – 149 – 150 http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...rscommons1.jpg http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...mmons1back.jpg Nicer High Number Commons – not quite as sharp as most in the low numbered lot so priced higher but not much higher $3.50 each 154 – 158 – 169 – 170 – 170 – 171 – 177 – 179 – 181 – 192 – 192 – 196 – Rougher Commons – These most frequently have some staining, are off centered, have rougher corners a couple of pencil on back but still overall nice and no creases - .75 each 14 – 16 – 19 – 23 – 35 – 36 – 38 – 39 – 39 – 40 – 40 – 45 – 49 – 53 – 54 – 55 – 59 – 61 – 62 – 64 – 68 – 72 – 77 – 77 -78 -79 – 81 – 83 – 83 – 84 – 84 – 85 – 93 – 93 – 95 – 96 – 98 – 102 – 104 – 108 – 110 – 111 – 113 – 113 – 128 – 130 – 131 – 131 – 131 – 131 – 132 – 139 – 140 – 148 – 149 – 170 – 183 – 190 – 192 The Rough Rider pile You know the drill, mainly ones that have some sort of big dings on corners and or creasing somewhere – Take em all for $3 5 -70 – 78 – 86 – 94 – 94 – 94 – 110 – 116 – 118 – 133- 136 – 158 – 165 – 188 |
