What are you "hoping" it will bring?

John V 08-17-2011 06:16 PM

I'm clueless. Qualifiers have me stumped. I previously had it at $79 BIN. That didn't seem to fly, so I decided to close my eyes and go with a $.99 auction.

Maybe we should turn this into a Net54 guessing game on the final price??

......

Guessing it will wind up in the $60 range. Good Luck!

I have heard that the rule of thumb on the qualifiers is to offer 2 grades down. So for an 8 OC= 6. There was a PSA 6 that sold on Ebay recently for $66.00. It will be interesting to see where yours ends to see if this way of pricing is still similar. I hope yours does better! :) Good luck! :)

Edited to add....I think yours has really nice eye appeal and color even with the centering!

I've heard (and utilized myself) a similar rule-of-thumb for qualifiers. VCP also lists prices for qualified PSA grades, and for an 8 OC they post a range of $6 - $100, and the actual results do seem to be pretty much all over the place.

My experience with EBay is that there's a good number of bids on the last day, plus whatever snipes are lurking out there, so I wouldn't necessarily be put off by slow bidding early on. Tough to predict, so I can understand your angst.

Looks like a nice card, best of luck,

drastic amounts

I have seen wild amounts of upward movement in an ebay auction many, many times. I am sure I have seen many go from less than a hundred dollars with less than 30 seconds left, to ending up at several thousand dollars.

Sold for $49.99 with 20 watchers in the peanut gallery.
