Just Added the most HISTORICAL item to my collection
(Hot Springs Bathers, this is what I sold the Cotton Bowl program for)
I got two things today, this is the lesser of the two, a patch given to the 58 team to put on their letterman jackets (It came out of Charlie Mac's collection) http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/f22c31fe.jpg The following is now the greatest piece of history in my collection. I had no problem selling my 47 Cotton Bowl program to help pay for it. I just picked up an original panoramic photograph of the first game in Tiger Stadium, Thanksgiving Day, 1924 It so big, I have to photograph it in sections http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/LSU/ts1.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/LSU/ts2.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/LSU/ts3.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/LSU/ts4.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/LSU/ts5.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/LSU/ts6.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...er/LSU/ts7.jpg |

|
Superb!
Congratulations on a great pickup.
Planning to get it framed? Will make a great display! |
Update on this photograph, I was able to track down the owner of the copyrighted of this image. He has given me written permission to reproduce and sell copies.
I have a company ready to scan and print high quality prints on canvas. He has waved the $400 set up fee to scan and repair the print I contacted LSU and they will let me sell the image without a license from them (they own the rights to "Tiger Stadium" and other images in the photograph). I just cannot use any of those terms for advertisement or have it say anything like that below the image on the print without getting a license from them, so I contacted a company here in Baton Rouge that holds an LSU license, and they are very interested in carrying the prints exclusively in their shop. So,with no out of pocket money on my part, I have a company ready to be the exclusive producers of the print and a company that wants to exclusively carry the print. I even have a lawyer willing to help with the dealings. |
Nice job!
AntiqueTiger,
