Same item, same listing...think the first buyer returned it because it wasn't original??? I tried emailing him but he doesn't respond till the auction is over.

I just find it amazing that there are 15 people bidding up to $100 on a card that is sight unseen, ungraded, "inherited from grandfather", and even the seller states that it may not be authentic.

Because to many people, anything with "PSA" on it means it is absolutely authentic. There is no way someone could ever counterfeit a PSA flip and holder, so it must be authentic.

Two feelings come over me when I see stuff like this.

1. This guy deserves an absolute a##-whooping, and I'd like to provide him with that.

2. How can someone be so stupid as to bid on it? Are they just taking a risk, to then hope to be paid back if they're wrong????

My solution:

Post an auction on eBay that has the title: "Old-fashioned, Authentic A**-Whooping, with Free Shipping". Returns accepted for up to 5 years.

If only he'd bid.

Also if someone stick a (((((private)))))) on everthing he sells, it's a great reason to RUN and never buy from them.

Agreed. And that was the second time he listed that card in a week or so. Wonder how many Cobbs pops left him?

anyone voluteer?

Does anyone here have an ebay account they can use (or volunteer to create) that will place a $1,000,000 bid on the card to make sure no one gets swindled? Even better, two people that will do it to make sure the price gets that high to expose the seller?

I sent him a question about the card and his reply included the fact that he has a green cobb with a polar bear back, which I don't think exists in that back.

I would, but it appears to have ended.

Alan, you are correct. Cobb Green Portrait does not exist with a Polar Bear reverse.
