What's the verdict on this T206 Johnson

So, do people not read the whole description?

In that elaborate page, there is one line that says: "Please note this card is possibly trimmed."

Doesn't it look thin from side to side?

It also appears as though the seller has a few shillers....

Looks like that seller took a page right out of the playbook of eBay seller "greatlakesauctionhouse".

Picture taken far enough away to hide any flaws that surely would show on a closer view...excessive puffery in the description of the card....possibly cracked from a lower grade holder as well. Can't speak to the alleged shilling though.

I'll pass...

saw that too. was shocked to see that high a price for a raw card on eBay.
admittedly it does look great from 3000 feet. classic example of "it it's too good to be true..."

anybody else a little spooked by Battlefields auctions? Stuff always looks too good to be true imo

npa589 07-24-2011 03:39 PM

Yea, I couldn't believe that price...

I would have bid 350$.

As pathetic as I think it is for sellers to attempt to swindle money from people via auction ambiguity, in order to bid that high - the buyer has to be on the opposite side of the spectrum that is known as greed.

Usually, it's a match made in eBay heaven.

looks like a typical Battlefield auction to me.

Hype it up to be a PSA 7 or 8... only to be a PSA 3 or 4

Card certainly looks trimmed to me----lower corners have "ears".
