Harry Pulliam Label...Real?
I have seen this Harry Pulliam Cigar label on eBay for some time. Anyone know if it's authentic?

Looks authentic to me. They are not all that rare, but the price the seller is asking does not seem out of line at all.

me too
Looks real to me too. Most times on the reprints and other crapola the lithography is not that crisp. Many times things look a little washed out when faked...

I see these now & then and it looks OK. Was curious of the sellers claim....
"Certifiably scarce -(less than 100 survived)" Is this true? |
I have seen a few of these at different times. I find the claim of less than 100 survive a stretch. How do you really know that?
Thanks for the tips too guys. |
Less than 100??? These labels are not rare/scarce at all...at some point in time a large cache of these must have been found..I've owned a few over the years and I never specifically tried to get one..they always came in a lot I won...the last one I got was in a lot from Hunt's where they didn't even mention it.

Certainly more than 100 around. As Dan mentioned, there must have been a find of these "uncirculated" labels. What is much rarer are the actual HP cigar boxes. However, I still believe $39.00 is a pretty good price for the label, especially given the condition. (Disclaimer, I am not associated with the seller at all).
