Found this great advertisement for a local dairy on the back of the local dairy's magazine at an auction today.

Neat! It's like the original celebrity-endorsed "Got Milk?" advertisement!

Great piece! But I bet it wasn't a quart of milk he was drinking every day...

I recall reading that as he was dying, he would drink a quart of gin a day, mixing it with a quart of milk, to help it along.

Fantastic!

Dan - The lovely wife was just giving me crap for drinking too much milk, minutes before I saw your post. If you happen to stumble upon another copy of that magazine, I would love to buy it from you.

Doug, I've gone to several hundred estate sales, thousands of garage sales, every single local antique shop/mall, et cetera and this is the first time I've ever seen a single copy of this magazine...never knew it existed until today and I picked up about 20 of them in one lot. I was thinking that this may have been something you could get from the milkman, but after reading a few copies it's clear this was made for employees which probably accounts for the rarity..There were a couple of other cool ads though including an Amos Alonzo Stagg, and a Lindbergh.
