Paul Muchinsky - Are you still out there?
Trying to get in touch with Paul Muchinsky to purchase his book Baseball Pinback Buttons. The e-mail address on the publisher's website muchinsky@greatoakspress.com bounces back (although the Paypal payment did not). I'm hoping he's still around and has at least one copy available, as I would much rather have the book than a refund.
If anyone knows Dr. Muchinsky or knows another way to get in touch with him, please let me know. I'll post an update here once I make contact as I'm sure there are others out there who would like to pick up his book as well. Lance |
I am, and I'm very sorry for the delay. I have had nothing but problems with that email server. Book went out yesterday via FedEx. If you like boxing pins, glad to send you a free book for the delay. My apologies again.

Great so the book is still available?
|
Paul,
Thanks for the quick response, and there are no hard feelings on the delay. I probably should have gotten in touch with you before sending the payment. The book looks great and I'm really looking forward to it! Hopefully this will stir some interest from others as well. Lance P.S. The boxing pin book sounds good too. Do you have any others in the works for other sports as well? |
Lance,
I've been toying with a football pinback book, and maybe a book on "all-other-sports-except-baseball-boxing-football" pinbacks. A tradional book cannot be modified once it has gone to press, but with electronic publishing (about which I know very little), the "pages" can be amended as their are new items to present. Also thought about having a few other pinback collectors pool their items to create a broader array of material. These items are always on my "I'll think about it later" list. Truth is, I'll probably do something, but not at all sure what or when. How is that for clarity? All the best, Paul |
It did for me and I also placed an order

Dr. M,
+ 1 for a football book (inc. Collegiate). :D Best, Aaron |
Just wanted to post a confirmation that Paul's book is a very comprehensive and beautifully-illustrated representation of available baseball pinback buttons. Much more comprehensive than other references I have seen that seem to list the same 4 or 5 series and show one or two examples of each. This book shows EVERY pin at full size in full color, making it easy to visually identify variations. Well worth the investment for the beautiful approx. 9"x11" hardcover. I'm not sure if the issues with the website (greatoakspress.com) are ongoing, but it's worth contacting him to get ahold of a copy if you don't already have one. Highly recommended.
Here's hoping for future editions to cover football, basketball, etc. Thanks Paul! |
Ordered the book after seeing this thread. Love it great job
