Is this Pinkerton Cobb real?
Hey guys - Is this Pinkerton Cobb real?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...Bjl0ehdnA%253D Thanks, Chris :) |
I would say authentic, but I'm not real familiar w/ that issue.
|
Yep, several of mine have that same red "bleed" on the reverse
|
Absolutely real. Even though slightly trimmed at the top it was a nice pickup.
|
Thanks
Chris :) |
Looks good to me. As stated above, the red bleed on the reverse is common with the issue. Jeff

Ditto with Jeff and Steve. Top is clearly trimmed, though. Tough card, and a good pick-up.
Cheers, Mike |
Its authentic to the Era, But its not a real T5
Its whats called a Pinkerton Postcard. They used the images from the real T5 Pinkerton cabinet cards, but they are printed and in lower quality compared to the real photos of the T5's here is a T5 from Goodwin & Co auction for comparison, its a slightly different pose (#170) http://www.goodwinandco.com/LotImages/17/Lot2a_lg.jpeg |
