GAI gone (?)

As some may know, GAI was slabbing my Third grade students BB cards each year. The last conversation I had with Mike Baker was a month ago, in which he stated that they were moving yet again. I haven't heard from him since. I've left phone msgs, emails to him and customer service and no response. I even had a card dealer call asking to do a large order, and he never got a call back. The kids won't be getting their slabbed cards this year.

Ne1 else have anything further?

I never had much luck getting calls back from those guys, even when I was doing business with them ...

I thought they were gone in 2006!? As far as I am concerned, they don't exist anymore.

Jeff stole my line.
which only goes to prove we are both too predictable.

It's ok Joe, everyone was thinking it.

Doesn't PSA offer a slab your own card service now....

They always did, $5. Probably a buck or so less in bulk.
They just won't assign a numerical grade.

GA is not GAI

Global Authentics (GA), the new company founded by Mike Baker in March 2010, is not GAI, and has (had) nothing to do with GAI....Global Authentics (GA) graded only packs and cards....the old GAI, if still in business, does memorabilia authenticating and autographs only (no grading of packs or cards)...I like Mike Baker, the hobby needs Mike Baker, as he has been one of the best, if not the best, graders...unfortunately too many forget how much he contributed to PSA from 1991-2001...good luck to you Mike!

Called PSA before and they said no. Didn't know about the slab you own. Gonna give them another call.

Richard- call and talk to Cosetta, she got mine done. The CS reps often don't know their own policies.

I agree with that, but something went very amiss at GAI, and perhaps even earlier late in his tenure at PSA, during the era of "bumps" at shows.

GAI gone (?)

I just wanted to say thank you guys for the help you gave! Eric Kramer has offered to slab the cards for this year, and every year after for free! (Verisleeve) School ends on June 16th, and he said he was going to expedite them so the children got them this year. I never told the children what happened. I was just hoping they would forget I promised them slabbed cards. After receiving the cards, my class is going to call Eric over the speakerphone and let him know how much they appreciate what he did for them.

welcome

Rich,

You are welcome, as a financial investor in a startup, I'm happy to use my power to help someone out, especially since its for the children.
