Pennant black beauty decal bats
 

Trying to do a little research on them. Were they a competitor of the Spalding Black Betsy model? Saw that they are rare, is this true? Any thoughts on value in comparison to the Black Betsy model? Thanks for any further assistance.

Pennant Sporting Good was a group of stores which started in Columbus Ohio in the mid 1890's. They had all of their brand items made but different sporting good manufactures.

So if you have a Black Betsy Bat, that is what you got except it is under the Pennant Label.

Same thing with their gloves, other manufactures made them for Pennant

They are rare but value doesn't compare to the black betsy. Really depends on condition, in general, I'd say its worth probably a 1/3 of a Spalding Black Betsy.
