Stone lithography -only slightly OT
For anyone interested in stone lithography similar to what was used to produce most of the cards we collect there are a couple nice pictures here.

Artists still use many of the old time printing processes-- woodcuts, etchings, engravings, etc.
I learned how to do all these years back on a hand printing press years back in an art class, but, don't worry, don't have the competency to be churning out fake Allen & Ginter Joe Jacksons. |
