I'm not scared of any "Monster"

First off I want to thank all the guys who helped me secure a few 206's for the kid. I was able to finally see her on her birthday and give her the cards I got. I told her she was battling the monster and her response was "I'm not scared of any Monster." It's funny, cute, and going to cost me for sure:D But to see her take those cards out and look at them and ask about them made it worth every cent.

andrew

great pics, great kid, and a collection to be proud of.
congrats to the whole family!!!
do remind her of the almost famous dictum:
The Monster wants you to quit; don't listen to it.
Or you may just want to say it to yourself and then remind her well before she starts driving.
all the best, andrew
great story.

The younger the better!

That's what I like to see--start 'em young! There's a fascination to what we do that's akin to holding an ancient Roman or Egyptian coin in hand. Some people see it, and some don't. Much as Masto isn't a particular favorite of mind, he said it: "you either have the collection gene or you don't!"

Great collection; great sharing; great start.

Best of luck to both of you!

Larry

Andrew & Larry,

Bring the kids to the National in Chicago this summer. I think they would enjoy it.

It's great seeing kids enjoying card collecting.

Gave my daughter her first card a month or so ago. I was sitting sorting some new stuff and she seemed interested. She thought it was tasty but a bit hard to chew. (8 months, everything needs to be chewed. ) I think I'll wait a bit to start her on prewar.....
