If you're gonna fake an item with an inscription, at least have your facts straight.

Now I'm not saying that this seller faked this ball. Hell, I can't imagine why anyone would fake Anthony Young's autograph. But I'm really thinking that someone at some point faked this. Anyone that remembers Anthony Young's relevance to the game, knows that it's because of his losing 27 consecutive games in which he received a decision. Now why is this ball inscribed 0-29?

The misinformation in the inscription is the key reason that I'm guessing that this is not authentic. I didn't even bother checking the signature because I couldn't get past the fact that the inscription is wrong... Any chance the losing streak went on for so long that he just lost count and started inscribing random numbers? Or is it perfectly justifiable to assume that this is not authentic for this reason alone?

I have never bothered to look at Anthony Young's signature so I can't comment on the autograph. But as for the inscription, maybe after Young signed the ball it was added by someone else who obviously screwed it up.

Yet for some reason or another, he was included in the 2005 Topps Retired Baseball Signature Edition set...
