the Honus Wagner sporting goods store in Pittsburgh opened in 1919 and the last store will close at the end of March 2011.

This is a store model bat from the company and not Honus Wagner. But like the gloves, balls and other items with the stores stamping this brings a premimum in auctions.

Tape mean it is cracked in most cases, the bat is from 1940's

I've been collecting Wagner a long time. This bat went for more than twice what I thought it would go for, especially in today's market.

I agree with Bob. It went for a lot more than I thought it would
