Well, he did give as much detail as he could :)

I wonder how smashed he was when he answered that letter.

I have heard from a couple of sources who knew mantle, say that he could be an absolute d***. No pun intended

I met him later in his life and he was nice to me (I was a kid though). But yeah, I've heard the same things.

Oh, Good Lord..haha.
