I'm no autograph expert, but it looks funky to me, and it seems like the seller is basically admitting that in his description.

About what year did Ruth stop putting quotes around Babe? Thought it was earlier than this book's publication but may be mistaken.

I believe he stopped, for the most part, after the 1927 season.
