Hosting pictures online
Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction. I have a lot what some people call ghost images and others call overprints and I want to share them with as many people as I can so they can see them and enjoy them as much as I do. What I want to do is find a site easy to work with to put them online. As it is they will be a lot of work just to scan. Rob

I use Picasa which is a free Google program. It comes with an easy to use editing program and plenty of online storage. Makes storing and sharing images easy for me. I'm sure some others will have a few more programs that work well for them.
If you click on the "My Collection" link in my signature you can see what it looks like online. |

Photobucket.com and Flickr are two of the more popular image hosting services.

Thanks guys I will check on all of these and see which one I like best. Rob

Just want to add that in the past Photobucket has been plagued with visitors to its site picking up viruses and other nasty intruders. Don't know whether they've addressed these problems, but I know that unless I really want to see something there, I usually do not click on a Photobucket link (having experienced first-hand the damage that can be done).

Thanks I will stay away from that one. Rob

Hey Rob,
I use ImageEvent for sharing my collection, and I know a couple other board members do as well. It's 24.95 a year for the basic package, and in my view it is well worth it. Here is my site: http://imageevent.com/vanslykefan -Rob |
