Jersey City Athletic Club - help requested pls
 

Would appreciate help from folks familiar with Jersey City sporting history if possible pls?

I have a proposed constitution/printers proof booklet outlining the specifics for the "Jersey City Athletic Club". It is dated 1888.

I googled the Club and was linked to a Jersey City Athletic Club basketball team page from the early 1900's but could find no other history about the club.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

The Jersey City Athletic Club was founded in 1878, joining the National Association of Amateur Athletics the next year and building this clubhouse in 1886 at the northwest corner of Clinton and Crescent Avenues.

At some time (at least prior to 1918) they had a boat house and rowing club.
