Greetings everyone! I won this 1940's Joe DiMaggio Baseball Decal on ebay today and was wondering if anyone has seen these before. Was it cut from a larger sheet? Specific year of issue? Was it worth the large investment I made in it? Any information would be great!

Hi Jeff
I have one but don't know too much about them. I believe I have seen other, but different, ones as well as a few other Joltin' Joes...... regards

They were issued stapled with others to a piece of light cardboard. Something like 10 would be stapled at one time and when you wanted to buy one, you would simply tear it off. There are other sports as well as cowboys.

Thanks Scott and Leon. I never noticed the staple holes.

I see the DiMaggio maybe 3-5 times a year on eBay w/o looking for them, not common but not rare either.

here is another one

There is also a Jackie Robinson one in a follow through swing that look similar but only says "Jackie" (backwards)

Ive seen the others usually found with the DiMaggio like Scott mentioned.

I think I got a great deal on my first DiMaggio at $14.00 shipped! Would also like to see a photo of the Jackie Robinson if anyone has it.

There is also a Joe Louis I've had before.

Here is the only pic I could find on the Jackie Robinson

it may not be from the same exact series but it has the same overall look
