Mile High Auctions

Quick question. I've never bid on MH Auctions and it's right now into extended bidding, any guesses/knowledge of when they usually end. I know Mears, Memory Lane and a few others go til about 2am central, is that what I should expect? Do these ever end b4 midnight?

Never! It's 4 AM here and it's still going strong....it might even still be going on when you wake up in the morning!

Crazy! nope I turned in at 130 am central time and it's now 552 am and over. Always an anxious feeling to then sign on and see if I won the item I was leading. Good news indeed when you see the green wording still. Phew!!!

anybody here...

...win the autographed T206s of Marquard, Doyle, Snodgrass or McBride?

Nice cards went for solid prices.

Cracker Jack Near Set

What are your thoughts regarding the final price of $502,000 on the Cracker Jack near set, Lot #1?

I was thinking it would end closer to $600 - $650K based on what the super high grade 1914 CJ set sold for a few years ago.

Given everything in today's collecting environment I thought it was about the right price for it. I admit I have not studied it or CJ's in depth though....and a half million $$ on baseball cards is still a lot of money (to me, at least)

In speaking directly with Mile High Auctions several weeks ago, the representative I spoke with implied that they were hoping to receive $500-600K for the set. I guess they got what they were hoping for!

I, on the other hand was hoping to get my hands on some single cards from the set for my collection......Oh Well!
