This just doesn't look real, but anyone have any thoughts?

He's sold lotsa shiny stuff, no prewar... Speaks volumes ehh?

It's not even a good attempt at looking authentic. Funny that the paper is prematurely aged to look period, yet all the graphics are still bold and bright.

I know the name of the park was changed to "Comiskey" in 1913 or 1914, but weren't advertisements of the time still referring to the park as "White Sox Park"?

Broadsides would have been on thicker, tag board material, not thin paper that has to be held down so it won't roll up. It reminds me of the "Wanted" posters of Billy the Kid and other outlaws that I used to get when I was a kid visiting Old Tuscon. They were made to look old and meant for fun when they only cost $1!

But the girls holding the poster down do have good manicures!:D

See the paper fading on the left border? It stops right at the graphic. It would seem like the graphic was put on after the fading took place.

Umm, you're right - if you search for "BLACK SOXS" I bet that any "memorilbilia" will turn up to be "inexistant."

Sounds Clemens-esque with his "misremembering" remark....

I think the eBay seller's ID is a perfect response to his $250,000 asking price.

It is amazing how the printer of a 1919 broadside was somehow able to use a typeface not available until 1957. I tell you, those Chicago printers musta been something else!

It would be cool if someone purchased this item just to prove it was fake and then prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Is that even possible? This is illegal, right?
