Mantle/No Discolorations
Amazing after 17 years of being stored in a warehouse that the ball is snow-white with absolutely no discolorations at all.
|
I think it must have been stored in one of those humidors that they use in Denver to keep baseballs fresh and minty.
Probably has a minty smell to it also. |
mmmmmmmm minty!:D
|
It has some sort of smell to it Richard. ;)

I especially love the BRAND NEW sticker on one of those blank china balls in which EVERYTHING has been fake, whether it a STAT, a TTA, a Scoreboard contract and now a beautiful Birdsick.:) The other funny part lately is this "Actual date may vary" photo which depicts birdsicks wonderful initials and a date stuck in time. Oh birdsick, oh birdsick, you make me so birdsick. |
Sold for $150 with 15 bidders.
Damn, more people are going off their meds than ever before.:eek: |
Mantle
Hopefully more people are finally begin to see the light about this garbage. Think about that fact that "AlwaysATAuction" actually listed a Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams signed (yes a forgery) baseball with a Nicholas Burczyk COA. Supposedly all of the garbage that they are listing was stored in a warehouse for 17 years and yet that Burczyk sticker on the baseball doesn't show one bit of discoloration and neither does the baseball. Wow!!! The final bid price of $145.00 says it all.
