Thank you to all the vets!!! My father, uncles, cousins, family and friends who have served and are still serving today... Thank you

I actually just got back from attending my grandfather's remembrance day service held at the hospital every year. He was in the Canadian Navy in 1944 when his ship was struck by a torpedo. He was one of the few survivors pulled out of the water that day. He'll often tell the story of how there was a group of seven of his friends that were really close in high school and all of them joined the Navy as very young men. My grandfather was the only one of the seven that returned home.
