board issues..and information

Hi Folks
We are still getting quite a few new members joining so I figure a thread about the board policies and features is due. Please ask any questions you would like to, concerning policies or features, and I, or another moderator will do our best to answer.

I would like to ask that all folks please remember to put post-1945 questions and issues in the post war forum. I just moved 2 threads but didn't move the original as I had already commented in that thead, about the subject. Thanks again to everyone who participates...best regards (and I fully realize this thread might die on the vine, that's ok too)

One other thing...please don't forget we have a really good place to put scans and pictures....it is under the "community" tab at the top of each forum.

Just a passing thought on this issue: I assume when people register not only do they have to enter some personal information, but there is something for them to read. I would emphasize to new board members that before they begin posting they should be sure to read the rules regarding where to post, especially when they have items for sale. I know I can be a pain in the butt sometimes (much of the time) but it bothers me when a newbie makes his very first post and it's about "Mickey Mantle cards for sale" and it's right on the main board.

I know it's very difficult to actually get people to read the rules, but if there is even a single requirement to be allowed to post here it should be "you must read the rules before you begin posting."

That's all.

Barry,
I agree that is a good idea. Getting them to read the rules is probably harder than teaching them spelling. Leon, thanks for all you do.
