I know that is Honus Wagner in there, can any confirm if the pitcher to the left is Walter Johnson?

How do you know its Honus Wagner?

I was wondering, what would Honus Wagner and Walter Johnson be doing in Cincinnati together in the early 1900's? Can someone give me a history lesson.

A lil' research. Check out Old Judge.com and Hunt past auctions.

That was my first thought. My second thought was I'd hate to be the guy standing behind the target if the pitcher missed! :D

I don't know if it's him or not, but I'd suggest being a little more skeptical about auction descriptions.

The Hunt description (from 8+ years ago) for those interested:

One other point - the earliest this PC would be is 1907 as it has a divided back.

Personally, I don't like the look of it at all

i hear ya. In the Hunt descrip. it says Wagner is using a pitching machine. Is that a pitching machine at SS, or is it a target?

Old Judge and I know he is a member can perhaps shine more light on this as he listed one of these in his auction back in '09:

"Lot 119. PC Kraemer Art Palace of the Fans Stadium PC Honus Wagner SGC 50 VG/EX 4. Very popular and rare card showing Wagner bent over target in what obviously was a contest of some kind at the ballpark. "
