E93 Wagner

Love this card but wondering if it would get a 5 in an SGC Holder???

Very nice card, but I am pretty sure it would not get in an SGC 5 holder. A 4 is a possibility, but a 3 would not surprise me.

something has been removed from the back of the card-SGC 30.

No way/no how. My experience with SGC would render a guess at 20-30 with back damage (they are VERY strict about that), 30-40 with a clean back.

That card should be a 40, imo. Especially with all the horribly creased cards I've seen in a 40 holder.

Does eye appeal count at all anymore?

SGC 30 at best. GAI graders ain't what they used to be a few years ago.

my guess

My guess would be an SGC40, which seems to me to be their favorite vintage grade..

SGC 40 is my vote as well.

I picked up a Cy Young / glove shows at the national and had it graded by one of the new companies that was doing on site and they were really tough. It came back a 1...I did have some minor scuffing on the front, the back was exceptioanlly clean (Polar Bear) and the corner wear was about the same as the Wagner shown. I would be shocked at a 5. A 3 would seem about right.
