Brown Lenox and PSA
Just curious. I know, from earlier threads, that SCG will acknowledge brown Lenox backs. Will PSA? Has anyone tried? With what success?

the last brown Lenox PSA card I saw was a Leifield bat on ebay. I know I saved a scan but I can't find it. No mention of brown on the flip. I am sure who ever graded it did not realize it was brown.
If you request it on your submission there should be no reason for them not to label it properly. They should do it without the request in order to label it correct. Browns are tough to tell when holding it in person. You almost need a black next to it to see the difference. If you know what you are looking at it is a bit easier but still no easy task. |

Here is an example of the Lenox brown next to a Lenox black. The brown is larger to try to accentuate the difference. The Brown one (not mine) is a Lajoie w/bat and I think the black one is Chase w/trophy...Sorry for the poor scan but you can still see the shade difference.
As for the original question, I would think that PSA should put "brown" on the label but don't know their stance nor do I remember seeing one in their holder (I am sure there are some, labeled correctly or not). |
Most recent PSA did not have "Brown" on flip
Here's the Leifield from eBay a while back...
