Don't discount the dots.....so fast

Seems every day in this hobby there is something to learn. I had always thought that dot patterns in white borders were a red flag, ALWAYS. A month or so ago there were a few Vancouver Peanut cards on ebay, being sold by a board member. Someone emailed to ask my thoughts and I said I thought one of them was not good due to a dot pattern all the way through the white border. Last week I spoke to Mark M. about it and he said he confirmed that the card was good, with a collector of that series. I just thought I would point this out as I know, though there might be more, of no other series that would have this dot pattern in the border, and be a legit card. Leon, the V122 Willard's Chocolate set is the same way. As you can see on this card of a skier that the grayish color of the border on the cards was printed on as it is off-center and the top shows the actual cardboard color, and here is a Ruth card with regular borders, the Murphy shows where the ink used on the borders sometimes bunched up and causes them to look stained or smeared...
