FS: PSA 2 1954 Banks with NM Appearance

Hi all. First post here, but I've been on the PSA board for years. I'm selling a '54 Topps Ernie Banks that graded a PSA 2 because of a very small crease between the left border and Ernie's left ear, but presents much nicer. The corners are all NM-MT, and the centering is killer. I paid $432 for this card on eBay earlier this year (check VCP if you like), and I'm asking $500 delivered. If interested, please e-mail me at shagrotn77@aol.com. Thanks.

Andy

Nice 2

That is an awesome "2". Should crack and resubmit

What is that on the left side of the card just at his right ear lobe? Crease? Tear?

Described in the original post, David.

Sorry, I didn't see that in the original post. Seems like a crease that minor should warrant a PSA 4 or 5. The centering (always a killer t/b on this card) and corners are amazing. Good luck with your sell. If it doesn't sell, you should really have that re-graded.

It looks like it has some ever so light wax staining on the back from the folds of the wrapper as well. But, I agree, this should pull an easy 3 and maybe a 4 for sure. That is a tough grade based on the scan alone.

fantastic card!

It also appears to have a water (or other liquid) stain on the right side above the batter's image on the front...is that correct? or perhaps paper loss in that area?

Thanks in advance for the clarification

Card

I believe it is a "tear" and not a crease. Tears are an automatic 2 at best. This Mantle has a small tear on the left hand border above his hands.
