O/T Move Over Strasburg

http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-Topps-Allen...75343534355379

From the story that accompanies the auction: "When I finally arrived at the store, several of the store's regulars had gathered around the counter, I walked up to the small crowd of sports card carnesuers and immediately threw out my "educated guess" that he had pulled some sort of 1/1 out of a demo pack ..."

Is a sports card canesuer a collector that eats meat?

............or someone that has been seriously injured at a carnival and responded to an ad for legal help on the side of a bus.

Topps must've gotten a lot of Beethoven's hair. Huggins and Scott is also selling another 1/1 from the 2009 edition.

I think this gentleman of the arts must have meant 'carnesewer'.
If so, i will certainly overlook this logical error of 'wrong destination'.

best,
barry

Barry, my guess is that he meant "connoisseur" similar to the fancy wine tasting fellows

Beethoven's hair has been trimmed.

For all of those people who believe in "hair cards" authenticity,,,well I just pulled a 1/1 with a deed of the Brooklyn Bridge attached to the card.
How much can I get for that?
Also for those who believe in hair authenticity, check out autographalert.com and scroll down to the hair story.

I must have rolled over that one when reviewing their catalog. Now that I see it, I am singing an ode to joy. The provenance is certainly impressive.

Hopefully my cache of Midnight Oil lead singer Peter Garrett's hair will be pay similar dividends down the road.

It's amazing the things you can acquire with a stun gun and a straight razor.
