Money doesn't mean that much to me . . .
|
I hope Snoopy didn't sell it to Mr. Mint! ;)

How do you know it is worth that much?
...it says so right here on the back of the card. |
bruce
great piece.
Peanuts is a tour de force in all domains! many thanks, best, barry |
I'm a fan of The Born Loser too . . .
.
. . . so does anyone (else) know who Thornapple's favorite vintage baseball player was ? |
Whales
It's whales like this Mr. Snoopy guy who are ruining the hobby (and possibly humanity) for all of us...
While some scrimp and save, he tosses cabbage around like nuthin' and lands himself a Daddy Wags....ain't fair. |
One of my favorite "Peanuts" strips is the one from April 12, 1964 where Charlie Brown buys about twenty million packs of cards in an unsuccessful quest for a card of his hero, Joe Shlabotnik... Lucy buys one pack and gets him right away...

"Say it ain't so!"

peanuts
great one, Gary!!
thanks for sharing. best, barry |
Schulz was a genius of simplicity. I laughed my guts out reading "Peanuts" when I was 9 years old........and I still laugh when I read them today.
:) |
Gary, thanks for posting. Joe Shlabotnik Rules!
|
Glad you liked it. Here's one from August 18, 1963, where Lucy already has a Shlabotnik card and Charlie Brown tries to make a deal...
http://c0389161.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...42309.full.gif No wonder she turned him down! I wouldn't have made the deal either! Look at how haphazardly Charlie Brown holds his cards, dropping some of them like that... there can't be a single "GEM MINT 10" in the bunch... |
gary
another great one!
i'm still laughin'!! best, barry |
I would have thought by adding in the Don Nottebart card it would have been enough to swing the deal.
|
one more
needs a clay dalrymple! :)
best, barry |
Charlie Brown's life would have been so much happier if ebay had been around in 1960 :D
