It's getting difficult to find type cards still needed. I recently picked this up from a board member so figure I will post it for all to see. It might stretch the definition of card a little bit but I have seen worse :). (note period silver dollar)

Nice, Leon! Hails yes, that's a card - and issued on my birthday to boot!!! (No, I'm not 85).

Real neat, I have never owned one myself!

me too

I thought it was neat too, guys. When I googled it today I found the whole book online, in a .pdf. On page 31 it actually shows a picture of this card. Evidently this guy was very well loved in the area during the 1920's. Who doesn't like "Mr.Clutch"? We all have our own naunces in collecting and this is what keeps it fun for me.

Leon,
Congrats on your Washington quarter evolving into a Peace Dollar. Nice card too.

I wish I could turn quarters in to dollars.:D
Nice card, Leon.

I guess for the man that has everything it gets tougher and tougher to find these little gems. Great piece, great story. Leon, thanks for sharing.

1925

Leon,
Nice pickup! I also like the fact that you matched the Peace dollar to the card (tag) to 1925:D:D Nice touch! And I will bet you put some thought into that!;);)

The silver dollar was literally luck of the draw. We have about 50 coins from my wife's mother (RIP). I knew there were 2-3 silver dollars and looked in our family room, in our little glass table which is where they are, and the first I saw was a 1926, close but no banana...then the other, and last one, was a 1925. It's not very clean but it's authentic!! My mother in law was around 78 when she passed away and I am not sure how she acquired it. I am sure it was from back in the day, somehow.....
