Hi Ted,
I see you have a XXX in the Carolina Brights slot. Do you have a number for that one? Also the SC Factory 25 info, I would find interesting.
Thanks,
Bob

Since El Principe is theoritically available with all but the first few cards and the obvious exceptions (Plank, Wagner, O'Hara, SLers, etc.) the number of different known subjects seems pretty small.

teetwoohsix 06-10-2010 01:47 PM

Thanks for this list TedZ, this is great information. Looking at the numbers, would it be safe to say that based on the number of confirmed subjects to a T-brand that Sovereign 460 may be just as tough as some of the other very rare backs?

AB 460= 74
BL350= 144
Cycle 350= 154
Cycle 460= 103
Lenox= 72
Piedmont 42= 73
Uzit= 60
Sovereign 460= 52

I understand the list doesn't tell you the total population of what's out there, but it seems like with the low # of subjects confirmed for Sov 460 that these are pretty tough. I have learned from you that the 6 Super Prints with the Sov 460 are very hard to come by, but I was just wondering about the other confirmed subjects. Thanks!!

Sincerely, Clayton

SOVEREIGN 460....2 levels of scarcity

I separated the SOVEREIGN 460 cards from the 150 & 350 series of the SOVEREIGN set, as there's been some
confusion regarding this back. The 46 subjects (Abbaticcio--Wiltse) in this set's 460 series are tougher to find
than the first 356 cards with this back. The 6 super-prints with the SOVEREIGN 460 back are extremely difficult
to find. The 6 super-prints were American Lithograph's initial extension of a total of 61 cards that were selected
from the 350 series to be reprinted with 460 series backs.

But, in no way am I implying that the regular (46) cards with SOVEREIGN 460 backs are tougher than......

AB 460
BL350
Cycle 460
Lenox
Piedmont 42
Uzit

What I am saying is that the 6 super-prints (SOV 460) are as difficult or even scarcer than these listed backs.

Thanks for the breakdown and the clarification once again TedZ, I really appreciate it!!

It must've been very difficult to complete your Sovereign T206 collection, and very satisfying at the same time!! Congrats on that!!

And thanks again for sharing your hard work and research.

Sincerely,Clayton

From Scot Reader's "Inside T206."

They are Chance (Yellow Portrait)), Chase (Blue Portrait), Chase (Dark Cap), Cobb (Red Portrait), Evers (Yellow Background) and Mathewson (Dark Cap).

How rare are we talking the sovereign 460 superprints are? I recently came into possession of a Hal Chase (Throwing Dark Cap) PSA 5.5 with the Sovereign 460 back. I'm new to the hobby and am just trying to get a feel for some of the value of some of my cards

Hey you T206 guys

I have received numerous email requests for this T206 data. The response to this post has been tremendous;
and, that's a good sign that many T206 collectors are really getting down into the "nitty-gritty" of these cards.
Therefore, I intend to post all the data on this forum. Instead replying individually via email to each member's
request.

I will consolidate the above listed 24 backs to their 14 basic Tobacco brands and post 14 threads.

Now, I'm away visiting friends in Virginia and touring D.C. When I get back, I'll start this project (with Leon's
permission).

FYI....tally of the various T206 brands

I have had numerous email requests for certain (or all) of the 24 confirmed lists of the T206 backs
that I have posted here. Therefore, the best way to provide this information to you is to post all of
it on Net54. I am consolidating these 24 - T206 lists into 14 threads that will cover each of the 14
different brands.

I'll start with the AMERICAN BEAUTY brand. Then proceed with the 13 other brands within 2 weeks.

Thank you all for your responses to this thread.

Sweet Cap 150 fact 25

Hey Ted,

I too would like to thank you for all your efforts. One question. Does the Sweet Cap 150 fact 25 belong on this list? I have always been curious how much more difficult, if at all, it is from the fact 30.

I still do not know why Carolina Brights are not included?

Regarding your......" I still do not know why Carolina Brights are not included? "

Simply, I have not run a CAROLINA BRIGHTS survey.

Besides, Brian Weisner is our resident expert on this brand. Perhaps, he will chime in.

You raise an excellent question here.....
"Does the Sweet Cap 150 fact 25 belong on this list? I have always been curious how much more difficult, if
at all, it is from the fact 30."

I will be posting the confirmed list for the SWEET CAPORAL, Factory 30 cards......as they are easy to define.

I haven't completed a survey on the SWEET CAPORAL, Factory 25 cards, as they are very difficult to define,
due to the fact that there are many NO-PRINTS in this series.

Thanks for your kind words,

TED Z
