Csa

Is CSA grading a legit grading company or are they in the GEM, PRO category? My gut tells me the later but I cannot believe the prices on some of these cards. Any one ever transfer a CSA to a more popular grader?

Yes........

but it was probably the exception and not the rule. I had a CSA4 T227 Bender cross to a SGC40.

I've had some cards in there early holders cross over with no problem.

I too, have had three cards cross (straight) from the old CSA-blue insert holders, to PSA. They were PSA 3/4 1930s National Chicles

I do not however, have any experience with the holders depicted in the OP's scans.

Keep in mind, there's a reason why the cards are in a CSA holder and it's not because they are a recognized industry leader.

Over the years I've had 2 CSA's come back as trimmed from PSA.

CSA's

I had poor luck with CSA cards.

If you're tempted by any card in a CSA holder, I'd stick to the earlier generation, wherein they used red flips. At first glance, those appear to be PSA, but are not. Those had more street cred for card legitimacy. I'd avoid their later holder modifications using the butt-ugly blue holders and the subsequent holders displayed in the three card links you presented. Better than even $ PSA or SGC will call them all trimmed.
