This one the house BURT Down and they will sing at the door too. But, it doesn't look that good..haha

Simply wonderful. I don't have the heart to turn them in, as nobody will bid I hope anyways.

This just proves that junk doesn't burn! You gotta love this though..sympathy angle (the house burned down), authenticity angle (was their grandfathers), devine angle (even a fire can't destroy something of the babe's).
Oh man, where can I bid!!!

GrayGhost 06-04-2010 09:27 AM

Simply hilarious. I was going to contact her and tell her it was blatant forgeries, but she is obviously a crook and if anyone bids on that crap, they should be forced to spend an hour with Chris Morales.

Her ebay id ends with 666. A hint that she's an evil scammer?

rholmes 06-04-2010 10:05 AM

"...it will be insured and all the stuff like that."

Might be my favorite line from an ebay listing ever.

mr2686 06-04-2010 10:10 AM

I don't know, I kinda like the one from other day where it said...and it has a COA from Me!

The writing style is almost Shakespearean. I wonder how many different ways she can miss-spell the word "burnt/burned"?

In addition to "brunt" and "BURT" I would suggest for future descriptions:

"burnded"

"brunned"

"berned"

"bernt"

"bernted"

Maybe she believes she's exploiting some sort of Ebay Fraudulent Autograph loophole.

"Your honor, I'm innocent you see. For I was not trying to sell a burned autograph, I was trying to sell a brunt autograph. This not only signifies that I am a complete moron, but that the autograph is disclosed up front as a forgery (ie. it has been brunted)."

:D

"when shipped it will be shipped top of the line with sing at door and everything."

might I suggest "There's a Sucker Born Every Minute" from The Music Man as an approprite musical selection to sing upon delivery.

mr2686 06-04-2010 11:25 AM

LMAO Mark!

Tom Hufford 06-04-2010 01:44 PM

If The Babe shows up at the door to sing - it just might be worth a bid!

GrayGhost 06-04-2010 01:45 PM

Here's another one. This one hasn't been authenticated...haha. I couldnt' tell if that was SUPPOSED TO BE Babe Ruth or Babe Didrickson, the picture is so horrid. An Obvious Double F (Fiasco Forgery):)

LMAO, Grandpa must have been as dumb as a box of rocks for assuming these autographs to be legit. Hell, even Morales would have to reject these as not genuine. I bet my six year old niece could do a better job of forging Ruths signature.

", she has not had it authenticated and that is shown in the starting price."

Only $900 for a ball with some ink on it - just in case it is not authentic - sounds like a deal too good to pass up! Who thinks this stuff up?!
