This guy probably has a warehouse filled with Boo-Boos

D. Bergin 05-11-2010 01:13 PM

His grandfather probably found the ball in a pic-a-nic basket.

This guy is smarter than the average bear.

mr2686 05-11-2010 02:35 PM

"i don't think the ranger is gonna like that"

You should ask to see the Makers mark and see a 5- 10 year old baseball with a 60 year old signature

JasonL 05-11-2010 06:09 PM

great stuff, thank you!

whole family got a kick out of that one!

I assume it follows that if the seller can't spell the names of the players and cartoon characters correctly, then they are most likely all misspelled by the signers as well. That makes this a super-rare ball for not only the collection of names, and the disturbance in the space time continuum that enabled its existence, but also for the near-impossible series of brain cramps on the part of all 4 signers that they would forget how to spell their names!!!

$300 is a steal!

:D:D:D

Does that make this an "immaculate inscription"?

GrayGhost 05-11-2010 08:29 PM

We have seen bad forgeries before on ebay. We have seen good forgeries before on ebay. But this one is beyond anything that has ever been on ebay.Too funny.

GrayGhost 05-12-2010 06:59 AM

I enjoy finding stuff that is so funny like this, as it breaks up the monotony at times, and always gives us a laugh.

It's still the age old problem. Some of the stuff is SOOO bad (like this one), not even a blithering moron will bid. But, some isnt that far off, etc, and people will get stuck.

I turned in two Ruth's yesterday, one w a Scat cert and one w Morales. I think they r still up, but hopefully will get yanked.

To not waste another thread, Look at this lot..wow. I want the Epstein and the Rare Dean Chance variation. Simply a great lot, and the seller has a great attitude.:p

Another good one! Twenty or so years ago, I attended an exhibit of baseball cards altered by an artist. Mostly paint and magic marker, some mixed media. Some were plays on the player's name, others were just for effect. The only card that I remember was a 70s-ish John Kennedy who was wearing a batting helmet that was shattered. I'd definitely bid more than 80 cents for that one on eBay

mr2686 05-12-2010 11:42 AM

I hear the Dean Chance was augmented by Picasso himself...so it's got that going for it.

Bumping. as the ball has been RELISTED. Pictures of Ruth and mention of him on ball are gone. Yogi Bear is still there, w Ford and Delgaldo. Now, bid at 75.00 minimum:D
