guys, just picked up this beauty for 75 dollars. can you guys tell me year and what variation this is. I have never seen this one. notice the pin stripe shirt and nothing on the hat.

difficult to date, but it's a $500+ pin and exceedingly rare. Nice pickup.

Very nice pickup. That pin is a bit harder to find and in the condition yours looks to be in ,thats a nice pickup for 75. It usually has alot of foxing on the front. Late 40s early 50s. 350-500 would be about right.

Nice. Why can't I find stuff like this? I spent $75 at the bar last night and woke up with an empty wallet and a headache. And no, I will not be posting photos.

The image on the pin is the same image used on the cover of a 1947 issue of Our World Magazine- a black monthly that was published in the 40's and 50's - I think that theres a copy for sale on ebay so you may be able to search for the image. Possible the magzaine put it out.

your right it came out in may 1947. going for 400.00 dollars for the magazine... thats great info. thanks
