Help With 1920s YANKEES Players Identification

Hello folks.. My good friend Rob Lifson says you fellers are the ones for this great question.

I have 2 11x14 lobby stills for a silent film that I'm trying to identify. Both photos are pictured below. The bottom photo may just be actors, but the top photo has at least 2 people who I believe can be identified as baseball players. It's possible the film is Slide Kelly, Slide from 1927.

I can't put them out for auction without proper identification.. so any help would be greatly appreciated. I can be emailed at sales@comic-art.com

Thanks
Rich

That's a Giants "NY," not a Yankees logo.

Here's a start:

Looks like actor-not-real-ballplayer Guinn Williams at right in the lower photo.

Isn't that Casey Stengel, at the center of the top photo?

I don't see it Barry. Doesn't look like him to me.

You might be right Jeff...he's starting to look less and less like Casey with each viewing.:(

More like a young DiMaggio. In a crowd.
