Where would YOUR $4,000 go?

On this:

Or a nice BL460?

Or what else T206 related?

Offer him 2g's on the Willis and see where it goes !! I saw you picked up a Red Hindu, welcome back !!

JP 04-14-2010 07:00 PM

I'm not sure the Willis is even worth $2K...seems like it could be had for less. I'd rather have a Drum than a Brown Lenox anyway, but that's just me.....

Eyeing this here....

Thanks Johnny. I just decided to take a different direction. I cant make any offers in earnest right now as I have quite a bit of cash tied up in bids on the upcoming auctions. I'll better know where I stand in about a week or so!

You really think its worth less than 2k? Good luck on that Drum if you decide to make a play....its already over $5,000 with the next bid + BP.

ChiefBenderForever 04-14-2010 07:29 PM

Phil good luck on this one I know how much you want to get it !!

Hahaha. I like your sense of humor Johnny. I pulled this excerpt right out of that listing:

" A strong case can be made that the T206 Ty Cobb with "Ty Cobb" back should be assigned its own catalog number as a "one-card set," but due to its great similarity to the T206 series, this card has always been considered a T206."

Heres what it should have said:

" A strong case can be made that the T206 Ty Cobb with "Ty Cobb" back should be assigned its own catalog number as a "one-card set," unless its Chicago206 making that case. In that situation, he should be just disregarded as a newbie moron who knows nothing."

ChiefBenderForever 04-14-2010 07:53 PM

Lol, it should say, "most everybody agrees it is a T206 although a few disagree, but really it doesn't matter because most of you will never own it anyways !! "

It is a T206, ATC was 100 years ahead of the game with it's own 1 or 1 !

we'll see about that johnny:cool:

It's only $4000 + BP now...keeping with the $4k theme.

My $4,000.00 would go to picking up as many V/G to V/G-E/X T206 HOF'ers with Polar Bear,EPDG,Tolstoi,Old Mill, and Sovereign backs-preferably graded by SGC.

If there was any cash left over, would focus on same grade T206 S/L'ers with the Old Mill backs-preferably graded by SGC.

Regards,Clayton

T206 Demmitt and O'Hara St. Loo variations in low grade for me.

ullmandds 04-15-2010 06:01 AM

The title of this thread should be changed to which T206's would you buy with 4K!

Pup6913 04-15-2010 06:19 AM

Peter I want to spend my 4K on T205's. If the title changed no one would ever get to hear from me. I am sure that this may be a good thing to some:D:D:D

I would spend my $4k on some of the T205 graded SP lots.

Looks like it sold for 3200...
