Size of e121 series of 80
I just looked at buying some e121 ser. of 80 but they measured 3 1/8 instead of the 3 1/4 as according to the scd catalogue and vintage cards. Which is correct. Thanks in advance. Jeff

Leon, Thanks for the info. Jeff

it would concern me if all the ones you were going to buy were the exact same size and wasnt the size listed.
if so, then i would ask other on here to measure the ones they have and get a general consenus... |

A sqoosh shorter
I would have to check my collection, but memory serves me that one of the series (I believe the Series of 80) is consistently shorter than the other, but both sets are identified with the same dimensions in the SCD catalog. I imagine Rhett would have a ready answer for this question.

Brian, That would make sense since most of 120 series are of the correct size. Its all the 80 series that are short but no evidence of trimming. Thanks again for the quick response. Jeff

Assuming that the cut-out in SGC holders are the same size for E121-80's this should give you an idea of size variance and how they would grade. The Bancroft and Groh cards are smaller than normal, Schalk is larger and Miller is just about dead on.

Interesting. I once auctioned a Grover Cleveland Alexander on eBay and the guy wanted to return it because he thought it was trimmed. The matter was resolved after I sent him the other one I had which was larger in size. I still have the first card, I have also included two examples of the E121 series of 80 (not ending in eighty) of Jacobson:

Thanks again for the info. All 175 cards came back fine on size. I had them all done by SGC I usually use PSA but really like the sgc holder on these. Now I have to see how I did with grades and the pop. 1 -88, lots of 4 to 7.5's. These all came from the collection on ebay of american caramels where the guy took a couple pics with a phone and wanted like $15,000. Again thanks,Jeff
