This is a terrific photo Ben. A prelude to the Banbino's defining moment (regardless if he actually called it or not). Should display perfectly with that great ticket you have from his called shot game!

What a terrific photo Michael.

World Series action shots from the dead-ball era are very tough and even more desirable. Well done!

Probably a shot in the dark but if anyone knows who won the lot of 1960 signed Topps cards, I'm interested in 2 for my set...

Michael, KILLER photo!! I had my eyes on that one. I would definitely love to do a painting of it someday - Hooper's one of the more underrated players of the era in my opinion...

Was thrilled to get this one, considering its historical significance. The look on Berg's face indicates he had lots more on his mind than just playing baseball.

From L to R...

Moe Berg, Connie Mack, Eric McNair, Charley Berry, Julia Ruth, the Babe, Claire Ruth, Bing Miller, Mrs. Earl Whitehill and Chas Gehringer. A unique and candid shot...

Anybody think the Joe Jackson's went high, considering they did not look at all what you would call Type 1's?

On the other hand I think some of the glass negatives were absolute bargains. Wish I would have remembered to bid on them last night.

1921 World Series

Not a classic image by any stretch, but one from the Yankees' first World Series is nice at any price.

Graig,

Thank you for the Kudos on the photo. I cannot wait to have it in hand and framed. To me, it is a great moment in time. I would love to see your painting of this as your work (IMO), is beyond outstanding. For those that care, here is a little more backround on the moment captured in the picture:

Lot #1522: Hooper Crosses Home Plate for the Winning Run in the Third Game of the 1915 World Series – Original Photo

Red Sox right fielder Harry Hooper lead off the ninth inning with a single to right field off of Alexander. Hooper moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, and Alexander intentionally walked Speaker to set up a double play possibility. Hoblitzel grounded out, but the only play available was at first. Boston put two runners in scoring position, but the only one that mattered in the 1-1 game, with two outs, was Hooper's potential game winner sitting at third base.

Left fielder Duffy Lewis stepped to the plate for the Red Sox, and quickly became the hero. Lewis slapped a single to right field, scoring Hooper and giving the Red Sox a tight 2-1 victory. The win also gave the Red Sox a 2-1 lead in the series.
