Show Your Minor League Postcards
The recent thread about the PCL postcards that recently showed up on ebay inspired me to start a thread on minor league postcards. We haven't had one in a while and IMO they are some of the neatest items in our hobby.
Show away http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...colnteampc.jpg 1908 - Chief Johnson pictured sitting down with the batboy in front of his right arm. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...lincolnpc4.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...lincoln3-1.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...pclincoln4.jpg Here is an odd one....it's a generic card that was stamped with Gagnier (Ed of Federal League fame)...I have two different variations of this one. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...l/gagnier1.jpg |

This is one that I would love to own....it is the property of a board member. I would love to have one like this if anyone has one....

Dennis, get in line buddy! The 1907 Atlanta PC is my second favorite baseball PC ever, someday Tom will have to sell it to me!
I am a bit biased but my favorite is the following 1909 Atlanta oversized PC of Roy Castleton below (shown w/ regular sized PC for comparison, also I should note the Leibhardt PC I pictured above is also a bit oversized). As you can tell I collect all things Roy Castleton which makes the team PC you showed something I really want, Castleton is also pictured in the 1906 Youngstown PC above as well (back row far left). http://starsofthediamond.com/09castletonpc.JPG -Rhett |

Although printed with blank backs, the Crowley's Milk set of the 1940 Binghamton, New York "Triplets" (an Eastern League franchise) was sometimes distributed to Crowley customers as a postcard, as shown in scans. The Crowley's set will be featured in a mini-article in this month's issue of the Old Cardboard eNewsletter (to be distributed later this week). --Lyman
