Question for jerrys
Just curious. Why was this canceled? I'm sure several people were interested in this lot. (I was.)

Jim
Jerry discovered that some of the issue were missing. He'll relist once he has a handle on what's available.

OJ Newsletters
The Old Judge Newsletters series has two supplements, a numberless/dateless issue and I was sure that there was no #49 issue. To make sure of what a complete set consisted of I wrote to Lew Lipset. I just received an answer. He verified that what I stated was correct. Although I have the dissimilar issues I have misplaced five consecutive issues near the end of the run. I have not found them yet but they may be in another location - I hope.
The good news is that Lew says he has a complete run of the OJN in his April auction. |
I'd be happy to bid on a "near" full run of the TOJ news letters. Just list the missing issues. There were a few "extra" issues near the beginning of the run. There is an issue 5 and 5A, 6 and 6A. The paper stock changed from a brilliant white stock to thinner more newspaper type of stock at issue 35 (and later). This is great hobby memorabilia.

Is there a sniper service for the N54 auctions? :D :p

6A
I had my original OJ newsletters hardbound a long time ago and now I see that I somehow lost #6A !
http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/6186/p1010137t.jpg I would appreciate if someone could scan or PDF the 6A so I can 'complete' my run. I can make scans of other newsletter issues for those that need them. |
Jimmy:
I have 6A and will scan in and email it to you. |

Couple more quick notes:
I think that issue 38 isn't numbered Issues 47 and 48 were issued together (same media/paper) |
