Cobb RPPC and picture?
So I'm not much of a postcard collector so I thought I would ask the board. What does everyone think about these?
http://auctions.alexautographs.com/a...refno=+++64509 The one on the top has a postcard back that was not used but has some pencil marks on it, and the cobb picture has some tape marks on the back. How much would something like this be worth? They sold for $480 plus buyers premium (I didnt buy them), is that fair? Also anyone have any idea where those pictures would have come from? |
They went very cheap IMO.

Someone got a good deal on them. That postcard is killer.

Yes, that was a good price, I would have bought them.

Cobb RPPC and picture?
Photo postcards are very desirable; they defiantly went for a good price
Nice stuff! Jimmy |
So the postcard is worth a good amount, what about the pictures? Are they worth anything? Also, thank you for everyone who hass helped so far, its amazing how much knowledge is on this board!
|
My guess on value would be around a grand for the postcard and a copule of hundred for the Cobb photo and very little for the other photo...........

Cobb Photographs
I agree with what others have said. $1,000 to $1,200 on the cobb postcard. $200 to $250 on the other cobb photo and $25 on the other player. They were probably just snapshots taken by fans. The Cobb postcard is probably not commercially produced. It was common at this time that when people got photographs developed from their "Brownie" cameras to have them developed on paper with postcard backs so they could mail to friends and family while they were on vacation.
