Help with Babe Ruth game
1 Attachment(s)
Can anyone give me any info on this beaten up game I saw today. It had cards inside with game situations...and 2 game pieces...the game is pretty beaten but has a decent image of ruth on front. Should I have bought it?

That's about as beat as they get, but I've seen the cutout "card" of Ruth on that box sell for more than $65. Probably a decent collector price, but bad flipper price.
Here's a decent one that sold for $375 in a Hunt's auction http://www.huntauctions.com/live/ima...=349&lot_qual= |
$65 isn't bad if you want to keep it for yourself, but that condition would be hard to resell. I have seen these go for a wide range, keeping condition constant.

Condition and completeness are both factors in game prices. Even in that fairly ruinous condition, $65. would be a decent bargain for the buyer if all 85 playing cards originally included were still with the game. We've never seen a reasonably complete example, even in rather weatherbeaten condition, get away for less than twice that price.
