In 1911 Rube Marquard was introduced by teammate Mike Donlin to vaudeville and burlesque star Blossom Seeley. Rube and Blossom relationship became romantic even though she was married. After Rube's tremendous 1912 season, they teamed up to do a theater skit entitled "Breaking the Record, or the 19th Straight". The highlight of the show was their performance of a song they wrote, "The Marquard Glide".
Blossom's husband filed a suit for alienation of affection against Rube. Rube settled the case for $4000. After the divorce, she and Rube were married. Sheet music cover shows a picture of Rube dressed in a NY uniform completing a pitch and a picture of Blossom Seeley. It is in very good condition covered by glass set in a 12" X 15" wood frame.
