WTB: Philadelphia A's Autographs
 

I will be updating this spreadsheet of the autographs I need often. The ones I need are in red. The off-colored ones I don't have but are not very important to me. I am looking to buy multiple autographs at a time, not just one at a time. I would prefer no index cards, but just about anything else will do. However, I will consider index cards if they are of rarer autographs or are rare in some way. PSA/DNA or JSA is a plus as are multi-signed items.

I looked over your list to see if there were any that I can help you with. Just out of curiousity, why do you not want to buy 3 x 5's for any of these names? FYI- I collect no-hitter signatures (all players) and several of the names on your list are readily available on a 3 x 5. From personal experience I can tell you that one of the toughees on your list is Don Black. He died at the early age 42 of cerebral hemmorage. He passed away in 1959 making his signature a difficult one to find on any medium. If I ever find a 3 x 5 index card or GPC for him I would be willing to sell you my signed cut from very early in his career (fountain pen signature). If you would like some good suggestions for who to contact regarding some of these sigs, my recommendations would include: Phil Marks in NJ, Simon Gutis in LA and Bill Corcoran in FL. I have already decided to change my mind and buy index cards. I realize some will be just too difficult, but I don't want more than about 33% of the autographs to be index cards.

I have a team ball from the 1933 Philadelphia Athletics that I am going to send into JSA/PSA for authentication. It has Connie Mack, Rube Walberg, Max Bishop and quite a few other autographs on it. Signatures are light but decipherable. If interested, can let you know the results of the analysis.
