I recieved an email yesterday from the Cleveland Police Museum and they are going to try and research this game for me. They changed Curators and are behind so it will be awhile for them to catch up and get to the research on this game. Thanks to a member on NET54 I was able to contact them. I had given up hope on finding anything about this game. Will keep you posted if I get any information. D.

The first BB game has a copyright of 1885 - appears to be an advertising premium in the form of a game.

Undated, but hopefully close enough to qualify, is this old team image taken by a photographer in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. I've always thought that guy on the right end in the chair looked like trouble... Any further information would be much appreciated!

19th century
Beautiful stuff guys.
Here are a few of my 19th century football photographs First is a CDV of 2 1891 Trinity College players http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...TrinityCDV.jpg Next is an early 1890s Univ of Penn player http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...binetPhoto.jpg A very large 1898 Milton Academy football team photo http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...8MAAphoto1.jpg 1892 Lake Forest team photo - not a very tough looking squad, eh? http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...LakeForest.jpg 1893 Doane College team photo - Everytime I look at this photo, I wonder what the guy in the back row is wearing. Looks very clownish - perhaps a referee? http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n.../Doane1893.jpg Univ of North Carolina player photo - http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...binetPhoto.jpg |
