Please Place a Value on This T206 Lot
I have had these T206's for about 5 years, but never added any more. I have just been preoccupied with aquiring other memorabilia and cards. I am a novice when it comes to T206 variations and card backs, so could you help me out by placing a value on this total lot?

10 to 15 per card with the Burch, Brown and the MaGee a bit more

I'd say about $450 for the lot.

What are they worth?
Nothing -- they're just pieces of paper. But them so are twenty dollar bills. Why are they worth $20? Largely because people believe they are. (The US govt. would argue other factors, but they're unimportant here.) Collectors place high value on some cards, low values on others, mainly because they enjoy having them, and because they're pretty sure other collectors would support current prices, by the virtue of the fact that there are other collectorsss.
So, at last ... They're worth exactly what you can get for them, no more, no less.. Suggestion -- post them on the tobacco board and see what people might be willing to pay. The moods and tenses of T206 collectors are too fickle to predict. Can you tell us why there are so many Sweet Cap backs? Good question. Ordinary answer, mainly to get a conversation going. |
I know there is one in that group that I would like to have. :)
